>Ritaharju Community Center

The Ritaharju Community Center is located in Oulu, Finland. The Ritaharju Community Center is a large building with nearly one thousand 0–16-year-old children and students and 100 staff members. Ritaharju bringss together four administrative sectors: nursery (0-6 years), primary (7-12 years) and lower secondary school (13-15 years), and youth services and library.

The community center is located in a new, mostly middle class suburban residential area, where most of the houses were built during in the last couple of years. The community center was opened in August 2010. The Ritaharju Community Center is a partner school of Microsoft’s Innovative Schools program, which has given it the opportunity to use the latest technological equipment for learning. The Ritaharju Community Center envisions itself as a resource center for the community.
