Increasing Awareness in educational Organisations of Sexualised and Gendered Violence - publication and web project 2001-2002
Summary of the project
The aim of the project was
- to increase public and scientific awareness of sexualised and gendered violence in educational organisations,
- to develop communication between existing research networks and
- to produce a publication, which is suitable educational material for pedagogical studies.
Subjects:
- gendered and sexualised violence in different educational organisations
- gendered and sexualized violence as organizational phenomenon
- representations of gender and sexuality as violence
- children and young adults as victims of sexual violence and prostitution
- homophobia, heterosexism and sexual dichotomies as forms of violence
The publication is based on the research that already was conducted or was in process in international research networks as well as on the material that was collected through the Internet and analysed during the project. The context of the publication is the change in sexual culture.
The articles were published in a publication “Gendered and Sexualised Violence in Educational Environments”. The project was presented in several international conferences and seminars. An open publication symposium was held at the end of the project.
The project was funded by the EU-Daphne -programme against the violence towards children and women.
